For a newborn, living in the new world is really challenging, since they need to survive in the different situation compare to the previous world in mother's womb. They need to breath for themselves, moving in the gravitational situation, and to find food by themselves. So they have a sets of survival movement that enable them to live in the new world.

Since they come in a limited function of the brain, the only brain that fully active is brain stem, and this special program of movement come from the brai nstem, ad called primitive reflexes.Primitive reflexes are automatic, repetitive movement. And later this movements are the foundation for the higher function of the brain.

The willingness of the baby to survive and moving to explore the new world will foster and increase the number of neurons in the brain, and this activity will integrate the primitive reflexes to the next developmental stages. That's why children who are not free to explore and move during their infant hood, could have challenge in emotional and daily life activity. 

Child development depends on reflexes integration, since the movement , primitive and postural reflexes creates neuronal connection to the whole area of the brain, so children able to access capacity of the whole brain easily in daily life activity. Many children with learning challenges have some unintegrated reflexes, and it can bee seen in their maturity that somehow different from their peer.

When the primitive reflexes are not integrated or even develop, body movement become awkward, speech delayed, emotional or sensory hypersensitive, lack of focus become the major issue in many are of life.

unintegrated reflex is a sign that body need assistance for further development, and several method such as Brain Gym, Rhythmic Movement Training, INPP, etc. could assist and facilitate the integration of the brain and learning.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been known as a good method for Special needs' children, and based on clinical evidence it shows that Acupuncture at certain of degree also support integration of primitive reflexes.

Children with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, Autism etc. shows a good result with Acupuncture.

In Chinese medicine (TCM) some signs that shows the presence of primitive reflexes, or developmental delay, related to TCM diagnostic, and giving a treatment with acupuncture culd diminish the sign of unintegrated primitive reflexes, and the other way round, when children receive a treatment on their primitive reflexes, it will diminish some sign of delayed developmental from TCM point of view.

Remanlay Acureflex Integration (R.A.I)

In my clinic i only give needle to children with emergency cases, such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy etc. (there is one case that one of my client has a seizure in every minutes, and acupuncture did really help her a lot)since in epilepsy, seizure also affect the neurons development.

R.A.I is method that stimulate and work on energy meridian without needle, all that you need is your hands, and this method combine the meridians work with reflexes integration.
